Alpha Powders recently had the privilege of participating in two major local Additive Manufacturing fairs, namely Malopolskie 3D Printing Days and Pomeranian 3D Printing Days. These events not only served as a splendid showcase of innovation in the Polish 3D printing sector but also set the stage for our upcoming participation in Formnext – Where Ideas Take Shape, just a month away!
The events were a melting pot of collaboration and innovation. Diverse companies, including EOS, BIBUS MENOS Sp. z o.o., Technology Applied, and AMAZEMET, presented their solutions, sharing valuable insights. The discussions highlighted the myriad applications of additive manufacturing, from groundbreaking developments in footwear to innovations in energy storage and business sustainability. These insights illuminated the transformative impact of 3D printing technology on various industries.
Sustainability lies at the core of our mission. During these fairs, we proudly introduced two new grades of SLS printing powders – polyolefin-based powders tailored for outdoor applications and an innovative service for regenerating used PA12 material back to printing conditions, achieving a remarkable 100% recycled PA12 powder!
Our exploration of research opportunities using the SpheroNano platform opened new horizons in polymer powder development for additive manufacturing. In collaboration with Politechnika Wrocławska, we showcased our commitment to quality. Evaluation results from the FT4 powder rheometer underscored the superior flowability of powders spherodized in the SpheroNano platform, surpassing industry benchmarks.
Participating in AM Expert panel discussions, we addressed critical issues such as polymer powder availability, high production costs, and the urgent need for carbon-footprint reduction.
As we eagerly anticipate Formnext – Where Ideas Take Shape, we are thrilled to unveil more innovations in sustainable powder production. Stay tuned for updates as Alpha Powders continues to lead the way in the dynamic world of 3D printing.
